HubSpot is an incredible tool with many bells and whistles, which inevitably means it can have a steep learning curve and why onboarding services are now a requirement for new Professional and Enterprise HubSpot customers.
There are two options customers can choose from when it comes to onboarding — onboard with HubSpot or through a certified HubSpot Solutions Partner Agency, like Synx.
Both onboarding services will get you where you need to go and to be successful with the tool to gain a good return on investment. (Given you select an solution partner who is invested in your business rather than strictly theirs.) Yet, what route you choose is dependent on your organisation and your needs.
If you’re a smaller team or need help with strategy, guidance, AND technical implementation over advice, we recommend going with an agency partner. If you’re looking for more guidance or consultation instead of execution, then we suggest choosing HubSpot’s onboarding services. As we said, it’s dependent on your budget, needs, and goals.
Below we break down phases of onboarding you can expect when you choose Synx
as your HubSpot onboarding and implementation agency partner.
Of course, this varies depending on what version of HubSpot you buy and if you’re implementing more than one hub (i.e. HubSpot Marketing, HubSpot Sales, HubSpot Service, HubSpot CMS, or the Growth Suite), however, we follow a similar approach for each one.
For clients who are onboarding with the Growth Suite or both the Sales and Marketing hub, we typically allow for five months in our onboarding process.
Our five-month time period does not mean you won’t be using the platform until the end of those five months, but we do bake in time for additional support and fine-tuning. Most of our clients are up and running within the system by the 8-week mark in some capacity
Our onboarding process breaks down into three parts, strategy development and implementation, then support and training and if you have the appetite we can look to optimize more.
During strategy development, we get to know you and your business on a deep level. We unpack your customer journey at every level — from an unknown prospect or lead to becoming an enthusiast of your business.
How we do this is by hosting an interactive workshop, for both sales and marketing, to go through your buyer personas, your current process and key milestones throughout, to pinpoint your friction points and how you can perform your job more effectively.
These workshops typically happen over a series of days and will be time-intensive. Still, they are critical to helping us determine how best we can set up HubSpot for your organisation to achieve your goals.
Once we have had these workshops, we then take that information and put together a strategy for you and your team to attract and manage leads within HubSpot. We will define the sales process, automation and tasks to set up, key definitions and stages, potential lead nurturing workflows, and more.
The next phase of our onboarding process is the actual implementation of the strategy within HubSpot. In this step, we dive into the tool and set up everything we put together after you’ve agreed upon it, of course.
There are two components to this. One is more technical that involves setting up your domains, connecting your inbox and calendar to the system, adding in HubSpot’s tracking code to your website, replacing forms, developing templates, plus much more. A lot of this we do before we reach this phase, but since it falls under configuration, we put it in this bucket.
